Merry Christmas! Today is the perfect day for my Simple Things Thursday – Christmas Cards. I love them and I even enjoy sending them. These days cards don’t go out as often as they used to and I am guilty of this too. But it really is fun to receive a card in the mail. Snail mail, that is!
I love it at Christmas when the cards start rolling in from our close knit circle of friends and family. A lot of my friends are on social media so I see their kids and hear about their lives during the year but some of them aren’t so to get a card from them and to find out what has been going on in their lives over the past year is priceless.
It makes me happy!
I have a card holder in the shape of mittens that a friend of mine gave me several years ago and I love to display all of the cards on it. Last year I think I left it up until about May or June. LOL!
Some are handmade, some are store bought and some are photo cards. So precious!

I love to add just a little about us on the back. Not so much that people get bored with it but just the highlights. (If there were any that year) This year I had quite a lot to say. I usually add pics of the kitties but I had some good photos of the kids this year and I guess they should be the focus. LOL!
