Did you get engaged on Christmas? Are you now in need of some wedding planning?

According to USA Today,
Christmas is considered one of four big proposal days, along with Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving and New Year‘s. Thirty-nine percent of proposals occurred between November and February among 20,000 newlyweds surveyed by the popular wedding website TheKnot.com. Of those, 16 percent got engaged in December, more than any other month, according to TheKnot editor Anja Winikka.
So, I thought now is the best time to start a wedding planning series.
We will be covering a couple of topics each Friday starting January 2nd including:
- Wedding Websites
- Engagement Rings
- Wedding Budget
- Planners
- Venues
- Invitations
- Dresses and Tuxedos
- Attendants
- Reception Decor
- Thanks You Cards
To start off next week will be go over one of the best ways to keep people informed of your plans, a wedding website..where to find one and how to get it started and your bling…your ring(s) and the things you need to do to keep it safe!
On January 9th we will delve into the budget…wha, wha, wha! I know, right? Who wants a budget? Gross, but if you are like most brides you probably need one and need to stick to one. So, we will talk about that and wedding planners. (the people and the binders)
The 16th of January we will go into the different venues and how soon you need to be calling to reserve yours. We will also go over my favorite subject…invitations and save the date cards.
On January 23 we will get into the topics of dresses and tuxedos and what those attendants should be wearing. What is hot and what is not!
Then on January 30th, we will cover reception decor. This could be a longy so I want it to be all by itself.
And, last but not least on February 6th we will go into thank you cards.
I hope you will join me for this wedding planning series and ask your friends who may have just gotten engaged to join too. It should be a lot of fun and informative as well.

I am excited for this! My fiance and I are getting married in June, but we've been engaged since last October. I can't wait to hear about wedding websites!

Congratulations Kaylene! So happy for you. Wedding websites are pretty cool. Now I feel a little pressured. LOL. Just kidding. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate it a lot!
