4th of July Card

I wanted to show you how easy it is to use my fun kit designs for other crafting ideas. So I am starting out with a super easy 4th of July card.

This is one of the easiest cards you will ever make. So if you need to make several or you just don’t want to spend a lot of time creating then this is your problem solver.

Supplies needed:

White Card Stock (5.5″ x 8.5″)

Red Card Stock (4″ x 3.5″)

Blue Card Stock (5.25″ x 4″), and a hand cut star

Gray bakers twine

Gray twine (thin) or floss

Ink for edges

Paper trimmer or scissors

Adhesive (glue or tape runner)

Mounting tape or pop dots

Scotch Tape

July Fourth Printable (print page – included in download file)

Step 1

Download the kit and print out the print page from the download file (if you need instructions for downloading and unzipping a file you can watch my short video)

Step 2

Cut out the July Fourth card from the page. Using a trimmer if you have one is the best way to get a nice, straight edge.

Step 3

Ink the edges of all of the pieces (including your star). I love the powder puff inks for this. This step is optional. Some people aren’t inkaholics like me. It’s okay. I won’t judge.

Step 4

Fold the white card base in half.

Step 5

Glue the blue card stock piece onto the front of the white card base.

Step 6

Figure out where you want your red card stock piece and your July Fourth card piece to sit on the card. Only glue these two together for now. We need to get the baker’s twine on before we glue the whole thing down. (no pre-mature gluing!)

Step 7

For the gray baker’s twine I taped one end on the back of the two pieces and wrapped it around the front two times. Then cut the end with enough to tape onto the opposite side on the back.

For the gray twine/floss I just taped one end on the back wrapped it across the font then taped it on the back of the other side.

Then cut a piece of each twine approximately 2.5″ and tie onto the strings that are across the front of the card.

Step 8

Use some mounting tape or pop dots to adhere your hand cut star to the front.

Step 9

Glue this entire piece to the blue card stock on the front of the card.

Step 10

Step back and admire your finished card! You did it. You have completed your 4th of July card. Yay!
